Meet Our Team And Learn How We Work

Mustard Seed Global is a Christian charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We have DGR status, which means that donations in Australia are tax deductible. Deloitte PNG is lodging our application for charity status in Papua New Guinea where we are currently a registered association.  By the end of 2023 Mustard Seed Global will also be an IRS-approved 501 (c)3 non-profit organization in the United States and donations from the US will also be tax deductible.

OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

PATRONS and ambassadors

The late Sir Rabbie Namaliu, former Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, served as our patron before he died recently.
We now seek to appoint other patrons to support our work.

STAFF

Our projects on the ground in Papua New Guinea are co-ordinated by our dedicated projects co-ordinator Beverly Akuila.
Beverly joined Mustard Seed Global after working as a provincial co-ordinator for the PNG government's national HIV-AIDS strategy. Before that Beverly worked with an NGO advocating for the rights of local people having their land destroyed by logging companies.

Historically our mobile clinics have relied on the secondment of nurses from key partners to work with our own nurses, but we are now recruiting our own medical staff for all teams to ensure consistency and quality of service. Employing our own nurses also allows us to provide the up skilling in emergency care and cancer diagnosis that is integral to our new Bush Angels paramedic units.

Recruitment is about to begin for someone with Beverly’s level of competence to lead the development and launch of our Social Enterprise project.
